In the context of Vietnam’s urgent energy transition requirements and its international commitment to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, the Law on Science, Technology and Innovation – Law No. 93/2025/QH15 and the Resolution No. 70-NQ/TW of the Politburo have affirmed that innovation is a strategic pillar. The 2025 Energy Innovation Forum is organized to promote measures that enable innovation to truly become the driving force behind green energy, advancing in harmony with global climate change mitigation efforts.
On September 18, 2025, at the Rex Hotel (Ho Chi Minh City), the Forum will be hosted by the Agency for Innovation – Ministry of Science and Technology, with the participation of more than 200 leaders, experts, researchers, and enterprises.
The event is not only a venue to capture global trends but also a vital meeting point where policymakers, academia, and businesses jointly shape the roadmap for a sustainable energy transition.
Distinguished speakers and guests - Mr. Pham Viet Hong, Deputy Director General, Agency for Innovation, Ministry of Science and Technology: representing the host organization, playing a vital role in shaping policies to encourage innovation and support enterprises in enhancing technological capacity.
- Mr. Vo Tan Thanh, Vice President of VCCI: representing the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, contributing actively to fostering cooperation and supporting enterprises in energy transition.

The forum is structured into two main parts: Thematic presentations: where experts present analyses, practical assessments, and insights into the trends of Vietnam’s and the world’s energy transition.
Panel discussion: bringing together ministry leaders, businesses, and academic institutions to exchange perspectives on barriers, opportunities, and solutions to accelerate public–private cooperation. The discussion will delve into key questions such as:
- What policy and regulatory barriers (licensing, appraisal, international standards, etc.) are the greatest obstacles for local energy technology projects?
- How can small and medium-sized enterprises in Vietnam initiate green transformation in alignment with their current resources?
- Which policies should Vietnam prioritize or adjust to better support businesses in technology innovation and green transition?
