On October 27, SolarBK introduced ERIS, a smart energy management platform researched and developed by Vietnamese engineers, at Autumn Economic Forum 2026. The presentation marked another step in SolarBK's 20-year journey, extending its expertise from clean energy research and project deployment to technologies that enable more effective energy monitoring, management, and utilization.
ERIS: Connecting Data for More Effective Energy Management
As solar power and battery energy storage systems (BESS) become increasingly integrated into industrial operations and everyday life, the challenge extends beyond generating clean electricity to managing and utilizing energy efficiently.
When equipment comes from multiple suppliers, operational data may be distributed across separate platforms, making centralized monitoring and performance evaluation more difficult.
At Rising Star Arena – Technology and Innovation Showcase, held as part of Autumn Economic Forum 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City from October 26–29, Mr. Ky Quang Minh, Director of Technology & Engineering Innovation at SolarBK, presented and demonstrated ERIS.
Built around the message “Every brand. Under one sky.”, ERIS is designed to connect data from multiple energy systems through a unified platform. By centralizing and visualizing information, it provides users with a more comprehensive view of electricity generation, system performance, and environmental indicators.

Developed for commercial, industrial, and residential solar installations, ERIS supports businesses, project owners, and operations teams in monitoring system performance, identifying abnormalities, and making more informed decisions.
With kWh as a central measurement, the platform encourages users to assess energy not only in terms of electricity costs but also through operational efficiency and environmental value.
ERIS: Built on 20 Years of Research and Real-World Clean Energy Experience
Originating from a research foundation at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and established in 2006, SolarBK has progressively developed capabilities across the clean energy value chain, from research and photovoltaic module manufacturing to investment, engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance.
Its experience is reflected in landmark clean energy projects in the Truong Sa Islands and DK1 offshore platforms, as well as large-scale industrial solar installations at VinFast Hai Phong (30.72 MWp) and LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam (7.3 MWp).
Involvement across multiple stages of the project lifecycle has enabled SolarBK to gain practical insights into system design, operations, and end-user requirements. These insights provide the foundation for translating project experience into technologies that address real energy management needs.

Within SolarBK's technology ecosystem, ASTER, a locally developed energy controller, supports device connectivity and control at the site level while linking field operations with the ERIS data platform.

SolarBK's vision for ERIS goes beyond managing existing energy systems. The company aims to make smart energy management technology accessible to a broader range of users, including those who do not own solar power installations. SolarBK also plans to develop a free ERIS Core offering in the future to help lower barriers to access.
