IREX has received two additional TÜV Rheinland certificates for its solar modules, expanding the range of products evaluated against international standards for reliability and safety. The certified portfolio covers a variety of single-glass and double-glass configurations, with power ratings of up to 800 Wp, as well as product lines featuring Back Contact technology.
This achievement marks another step forward in IREX’s efforts to expand its product portfolio, diversify its technology offerings, and respond to the increasingly demanding requirements of the solar energy market.
More Product Lines Achieve International Certification
The two certificates were issued by TÜV Rheinland on August 31, 2026, covering multiple solar module product lines manufactured by IREX.
Certificate PV 50745600 0001 covers configurations with 108, 120, and 144 solar cells, with certified models rated at up to 680 Wp. The certificate is valid until February 25, 2030.
IREX has received two additional TÜV Rheinland certificates for its solar modules, expanding the range of products evaluated against international standards for reliability and safety.
Certificate PV 50745651 0001 extends coverage to additional configurations, with the highest-rated model listed reaching 800 Wp. The certificate is valid until February 26, 2030.
The products were evaluated in accordance with IEC 61215 and IEC 61730. IEC 61215 addresses the design qualification and reliability of photovoltaic modules through tests that simulate environmental and operating conditions, while IEC 61730 focuses on photovoltaic module safety requirements.
TÜV Rheinland is an independent testing and certification organization with a global presence. These certifications therefore provide customers and partners with an additional technical basis for evaluating products against defined and verifiable standards.
Expanding Technology Options Up to 800 Wp
One of the key highlights of this certification expansion is the inclusion of solar modules with power ratings of up to 800 Wp. Higher-power modules provide additional options for projects seeking to optimize installed capacity within the available installation area. However, module selection should still be based on the actual conditions and requirements of each project.
The expanded portfolio also includes single-glass and double-glass designs, as well as Back Contact technology. With Back Contact technology, the electrical contacts are positioned on the rear side of the solar cells, reducing front-side shading and increasing the surface area available for light absorption.
The broader range of power ratings, configurations, and technologies enables IREX to address diverse requirements across industrial facilities, commercial buildings, and systems with limited installation space.
Therefore, solar module selection should not be based on power rating alone. Other factors, including module design, safety standards, load-bearing capability, installation conditions, and compatibility with the overall system, should also be considered.
Strengthening the Product Capabilities of a Vietnamese Brand
IREX solar modules have previously been evaluated against relevant standards by TÜV SÜD and TÜV NORD, while the company has also obtained BIS certification to support market access requirements in India. The two new TÜV Rheinland certificates further strengthen IREX’s portfolio of international certifications.
The value of this process lies not simply in the number of certifications obtained, but in IREX’s continued expansion of its product portfolio in line with technological developments and evolving market needs.
Within the SolarBK ecosystem, IREX is responsible for the research, development, and manufacturing of solar modules, providing a foundation for its products to be selected and integrated into energy solutions tailored to the specific conditions of each project.
The expansion of TÜV Rheinland certification coverage for solar modules with power ratings of up to 800 Wp further reinforces IREX’s direction: developing products based on international standards, broadening technology options, and responding to the increasingly diverse requirements of the market.
