Ho Chi Minh City: Commercial, educational and power infrastructure projects expand solar adoption

Ho Chi Minh City is where SolarBK has made a clear mark through a range of commercial, educational, industrial and power-infrastructure projects. In the commercial sector, AEON Mall Tan Phu is among the facilities that have adopted a large-scale rooftop solar system to help reduce electricity demand during peak hours. Several Vincom Retail locations in Thao Dien, Thu Duc and Le Van Viet have also recorded notable results after applying solar solutions, demonstrating the feasibility of integrating rooftop systems into high-consumption commercial infrastructure.

In the education sector, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology has become a representative example of a “green campus,” creating a learning environment aligned with sustainable development goals. In the power-infrastructure field, projects at the Hoc Mon, Cu Chi and Binh Chanh power utilities, along with the 220/110 kV Binh Tan substation, reflect SolarBK’s capability in handling complex technical requirements while ensuring safety and operational stability.

In manufacturing, the project implemented at Thien Long Group illustrates how solar energy can serve as a sustainable solution to optimize operating costs and manage electricity consumption more effectively.

Ba Ria Vung Tau: High-consumption industrial sectors accelerate clean energy transition

Ba Ria Vung Tau has consistently been among the provinces with high industrial energy demand. At Dat Do Industrial Park, the ESCO project implemented for Tong Hong Tannery by SolarESCO (a member of SolarBK Group) is widely recognized for improving operating costs while supporting emission reduction in the leather industry.

In logistics, several warehousing and port-related facilities have adopted rooftop solar systems to stabilize long-term energy expenses, particularly those operating large-roof facilities with continuous electricity needs.

Binh Duong: A hub for advanced manufacturing and FDI pursuing sustainability standards

Binh Duong continues to attract substantial investment from global manufacturing groups. According to published information, SolarBK has implemented rooftop solar systems for several factories in the province. One of the notable projects is a 7.3 MWp system for the LEGO factory in Binh Duong, developed under strict technical and operational requirements.

Additional deployments at enterprises in supporting industries and logistics show the increasing demand for energy-saving solutions in facilities with high consumption levels.

Practical experience as a foundation for large-scale green transition

As the regional urban cluster strengthens connections, new industrial zones, logistics centers and commercial projects are expected to expand rapidly. All will face the same requirements: reducing emissions in line with international standards, optimizing electricity costs, and increasing the share of renewable energy in compliance with ESG, CBAM and global supply-chain expectations.

SolarBK has publicly reported experience across various project types in the three provinces — including industrial parks, FDI manufacturing, commercial facilities and power-sector infrastructure. Its solution ecosystem ranges from rooftop solar and ESCO models to energy-monitoring systems, enabling the company to address diverse requirements in the transition to cleaner energy.

The interconnected Ho Chi Minh City – Binh Duong – Ba Ria–Vung Tau region is expected to remain a major economic and industrial center in the coming decade. Clean energy and sustainable operating standards will play a critical role in its development. With more than 20 years of experience and a portfolio spanning different sectors, SolarBK is positioned to continue contributing to the region’s long-term green transition.
