On April 9, 2025, the LEGO Group officially inaugurated its largest and most sustainable manufacturing facility globally at the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park III (VSIP III) in Binh Duong province. This marks LEGO’s sixth plant worldwide, second in Asia, and the first-ever carbon-neutral LEGO factory. The factory is equipped with a rooftop solar power system comprising 12,400 photovoltaic panels, integrated with advanced energy storage solutions, aiming to run entirely on renewable energy by 2026. With a total investment of over USD 1.3 billion, the factory spans 44.79 hectares featuring production areas, a fully automated warehouse, office buildings, and a central energy station. Once fully operational, the plant is expected to generate approximately 4,000 jobs and serve as a key manufacturing hub for the Asia-Pacific market.

A cornerstone of LEGO’s sustainability ambitions, the factory is equipped with 12,400 rooftop solar panels and an advanced Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). It is designed to run entirely on renewable energy by 2026. The facility aims to achieve LEED Gold certification for the entire complex and LEED Platinum for its office buildings—among the highest global standards for sustainable construction. As a leading renewable energy company in Vietnam, SolarBK is proud to serve as the design and development partner for the solar energy system of this iconic facility. This collaboration not only affirms SolarBK’s capabilities in delivering high-quality renewable solutions that meet rigorous international standards but also marks a milestone in its journey to empower global sustainability transitions.
